Cathi Dunham, Hidden Valley School, Whitehorse, Yukon

Cathi Dunham is a Yukon teacher that has been involved with the running of the Yukon Quest for a number of years. She is presently teaching at Hidden Valley School in Whitehorse, Yukon and this year is serving as a board member for the Quest. Much of the background information and classroom activities found on these pages have been developed by her over the past five years.

Classroom Displays

A large classroom display can be used for a number of activities prior to and during the running of the Yukon Quest. Cathi Dunham shares how she sets up her classroom for Yukon Quest activities.

THE WALL

One entire wall in Cathi's room is devoted to the race. She draws out the map with the help of an overhead projector. All of the checkpoints and key physical features are marked.
